Sound Extinguisher

A team of scientists from the University of Drexel have created a new way to extinguish fires in outer space using sound. Their theory is that, by using pressure from sound waves, fires can be extinguished in places like the ISS where precious electronics cannot afford to be destroyed.
Although the team was not able to extinguish the fire from a zero gravity environment, they did recreate their experiments with fruitful results in their lab. Now, time will tell if their research will pay off.
